We booked Villa Calangute for our annual extended family vacation. There were 12 of us and we booked the entire Villa (6 rooms ). It’s a great location, a few minutes walk to the beach. The Villa itself is spectacular. Tastefully restored and thoughtfully curated, it’s exudes old world charm with all modern amenities. We had such a great vacation. The Villa is so beautiful, peaceful and calm. The gardens are beautifully maintained. There is so much of space – all beautifully and aesthetically done. One can just laze in the pool or the gazebo. Breakfast was abundant and delicious. The staff was very warm, attentive and efficient. Everything was perfect.
Lovely spacious villa a short walk from Calangute Beach. Wonderful staff, ready to help in every way. We were 6 adults and 3 quite young children and everyone enjoyed themselves. The beach was crowded with Indian tourists as it was holiday season but a short walk down the beach to a recommended bar/bistrô area was enough to get one away from the crowd.

We Malbros recently had the pleasure of staying at the villa resort and I must say, it exceeded all our expectations. From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive. A well appointed 6 bed room heritage villa on Holiday Street right in the heart of Calangute. That is the simplest way to describe Villa Calangute. But what that description misses is the unique experience one gets at this beautifully appointed villa which is a 5 minute walk to the beach and has tons of eating and shopping options all around .
My first impressions of this villa managed by Derek and his excellent staff is the authentic Goa vibe it exudes . From the rooms that are tasteful and spacious to the common areas that invite you to linger , this is one vacation spot that you will never feel like leaving .
Every corner of the villa has been designed keeping a vacationer in mind. The large pool, the bar by the pool, the community style dining table to the open air sitting area. Did I forget the expansive property on which Villa Calangute is built. It’s a paradise and anyone visiting Goa in a large group ( we were 14 of us) needs to stay here.
I can assure you that you will not feel like leaving.

A minute away from the beach this holiday home is all you can ask for. A paradise for vacation lovers, the food, hospitality and environment are great. The swimming pool is well maintained and nothing beats the quiet and peace of the shanti space. The warmest welcome you will ever get and highly recommended. And the fact that the beach is so close makes it more exciting. Overall a lovely experience and will surely visit again.

The breakfast served is very good with different menus on daily basis. The hospitality shown by the operations staff at this Villa is wonderful.

The ROOMS are always kept neat and tidy for you to be more comfortable.
Swimming pool is good and maintained well.
Will not forget the dinning area which is huge for all of us to be around and spend time,,,

We visited Villa Calangute last February for a week and I must say it has been a dream week !! The charm of the beautiful old Goan house, traditionally decorated with all modern comfort, settled amidst tall coconut trees and a lush garden with a Hollywood style swimming pool !! 5 minutes walk from the beach, we could hear at night the crashing waves of the ocean. Roma & Derek were perfect hosts, helpful in all ways and always ready to open the bar ! Not to mention a kind and smiling staff at the ready to fulfill all our needs. Wondering when to go back !!!

We stayed at Villa Calangute on a family holiday and had the most wonderful experience. Right from the moment we made the reservation, Julia was in touch with us and answered all our queries promptly. Julia and her lovely staff made our stay extremely comfortable. The villa is a beautiful old family home that has been restored and maintained with a lot of love. The beach is a short walk away and a perfect place to watch the sunset. Photographs do not do justice to how lovely the villa is. Being a group with some elderly people and a child, we chose to stay in the villa mostly, and thoroughly enjoyed being in the pool. We chose to keep a private chef who cooked our meals, while the villa staff cooked us breakfast and a lovely goan meal.
A big thank you to Julia for taking such good care of us! We will most definitely be back!

An ancestral home refurbished to resemble a villa, and the overall effect is pleasing enough. If you are looking for luxury, however, you will be disappointed. My home in Noida is far more luxurious.
Vila Calangute is a well-maintained, comfortable family home (apart from the ridiculously high beds without steps, and no luggage racks), and Julia’s supervision certainly helps.
The staff is efficient and friendly, but personally, I would not choose to stay here on holiday.
If you‘re a group of friends looking for a unique and authentic Goan experience then you should look at staying in Villa Calangute.
Hidden away in its own tropical garden surrounded by palm trees and with its own infinity pool it’s the perfect place for rest and relaxation. Yet the beach with its many shacks is just a short walk away, the perfect venue for cocktails as the sun slowly sets over the Arabian Sea. There is also a wide range of restaurants and bars off the beach to cater for all tastes and pockets.
Accommodation is spacious and luxurious. Central to life at the villa is its veranda overlooking the garden and pool with a long dining table where most days begin with a freshly prepared Goan style breakfast served impeccably by staff under the watchful eye of Henry the house manager. He is a mine of information and will help with the smallest of needs. And if he can’t help you himself he’ll know someone who can.
We were also lucky to meet Derek, the owner, who gave us the warmest of welcomes and made us feel very much at home.
All in all, another amazing holiday at Villa Calangute which we would not hesitate to recommend to others.
