No Quarantine Holidays in Thailand April 2022 Updated

As the travel restrictions getting eased Thailand has come up with a new no quarantine program Test & Go. As per this program fully vaccinated tourists are no longer required undergoing long and expensive 14 days quarantine in designated hotels. And… Better news! Those who arriving in Thailand 1 April onwards are not required to get pre-departure RT PCR COVID Test for travelling.

Let’s have a look on all the available programs how one can enter Thailand from 1st April 2022.

The most inviting program is Test & Go. Here are the requirements: possess a Covid-19 insurance with Covid-19 coverage of at least $ 50,000; posses a valid Thailand pass; being fully vaccinated for more than 14 days before traveling (you can find list of the accepted vaccines below); book a SHA+ Hotel for Day 1 while waiting for the result of the RT PCR COVID test.

List of Government approved Vaccines:

  • CoronaVac (Sinovac) – 2 doses
  • AstraZeneca / Covishield – 2 doses
  • Pfizer BioNTech – 2 doses
  • Janssen (Johnson & Johnson)
  • COVILO (Sinopharm) – 2 doses
  • Moderna – 2 doses
  • Sputnik V – 2 doses
  • Covaxin (Bharat Biotech) – 2 doses
  • Medigen – 2 doses

The Second option is Sandbox Program.

As per this program fully vaccinated tourists must enter Thailand under the Phuket or Samui Sandbox programs. These tourists will be required to book a 5 night stay in a designated SHA+ Hotels in Pattaya, Phuket, Khao Lak, Krabi, Samui, Koh Phang Ngan, or Koh Tao before they are allowed to travel to other provinces of Thailand.

If you have not been fully vaccinated or taken the first shot of the vaccine only – the Third Program is for you. As per Alternative Quarantine Program you will be required to undergo the mandatory alternative 5 nights quarantine designated quarantine hotel in Bangkok, Samut Prakan, Pattaya, Phuket, or Samui before you can go to other places in Thailand.

  • Get 2 shots of the vaccine which is approved by Thailand government 14 days before departure.
  • Book a ticket to Thailand.

  • Get insurance with Covid-19 coverage of at least $ 50,000
  • Book SHA+ hotel which will include RT PCR COVID test and transfer, list of the hotels you can find online or
  • Stay 1 night in the SHA+ Hotel
  • After getting negative Covid-19 report check out from the hotel and shift to one of the private pool villas featured on
