Visit Anjuna, which hosts the most vibrant flea markets that bring together a cosmopolitan community, living the susegad life. You can learn to surf or let your hair down at full moon parties at Morjim, or practice Yoga in solitude on the Ashvem beach.

The range of activities is only matched by VillaGoa’s wide selection of villas for rent in North Goa. A synthesis of contemporary design and Goan charm, each villa is strategically located, close to North Goa party hotspots and yet tucked away in idyllic bylanes. Step out for a stroll to the beach, spend the day sampling some fantastic seafood or the night chasing Lady Luck at the Casino, and return to a place that feels as safe as home.  We invite you to create memories long after the sun sets over the Arabian Sea.

Beaches in the North has something for everyone to enjoy

Our villas are located in fantastic locations all over North Goa giving you easy access to the beaches. Some villas are even located on the beach like

• Villa Tiara, Calangute Beach
• Villa Mykonos, Anjuna Beach
• Villa Morjim, Morjim Beach
• Villa Surya, Anjuna Beach

When you rent a villa by the beach, choose to share in the general excitement at your discretion. Have breakfast at the Infantaria on the busy Calangute Baga road and dinner at Souza Lobo – a restaurant that has been servicing Goa’s visitor authentic Goan food since 1932 – and then retreat to the calm privacy of your personal beachfront villa.

Come stay at Villa Tiara in Calangute. This 7 bedroom gorgeous two floor property, 100 metres from the beach, with its large open courtyard that allows outdoor dining, with wide verandas and a poolside snooker table is perfect for you and your friends to unwind. With their four poster beds and period furniture, the  bedrooms come with their own cupboards and attached bathrooms; many of them have their private balconies too. With its massive pool and sprawling lawn it can host a group of 14. The first floor can be accessed through a separate entrance offering greater privacy for groups that include couples.

As Candolim does with Calangute, Calangute blends into Baga. When you rent a beachside villa here, you’ll be spending your nights in some of the most iconic clubs of India. The parties Baga’s clubs have seen and the stories they’d have to tell if they could whisper them to you!

With many new clubs accommodating India’s growing population of young revellers, Baga continues to retain its status as Party Central, wooing the best Indian pop stars and international DJs. The nights are always young here and we can help you throw an after-party at the beach villa you rent, and let it live on for longer.

The beach at Anjuna is rocky and not the highlight of this village. It is the community and the vibe that Anjuna, as the old hangout of the hippies in the sixties and seventies, retains. The best place to experience this is at the Wednesday flea market, or the hilltop market – yet another tradition stemming from its bohemian history. A wild range of great restaurants, and a trance music scene makes up for the lack of a generous stretch of sand on this beach. The sunsets though are just as spectacular as anywhere else on the coast.

Tucked in a quiet lane, Villa Dreamer is a four bedroom stylish home right next to some of Anjuna’s favourite restaurants. Tastefully done, the interiors exude luxe. The four bedroom villa, has its own private pool shaded by a mango tree that you will end up spending much of your time in, even though the beach is not far at all.e

Our villa Villa Mykonos will transport you to Santorini. The neat white bungalow, with its tiled roof and beach facing private pool, has a private and direct access to the Anjuna beach. Its interior of concrete and wood against the sparkling white walls could feature in any design magazine. The highlight is the pool, from where the sea, the horizon every sunset is an exclusive event  for the guest to enjoy.

Vagator derives its name from the tiger that once freely roamed these wild parts. That was a long, long time ago. Now a hep beach destination, with many tourists, the Vagator is split into two by a rocky promontory.

The hilltop is also where you can find one of the most happening nightclubs of Goa. Its open air trance parties are to be experienced at least once during your stay in North Goa.

Our spectacular 7 bedroom Villa Vagator near the beach could easily star in any Architecture and Design magazine. Its floor to wall marble bathrooms match the aesthetics of its wall to wall french windows across its three floors framing beautiful foliage of the trees outside. With decks overlooking the pool, and large sunken seating area in the tropical garden, this villa is for those who truly appreciate luxury. The roof with its view of the sea is an additional lounging area, with ample space for a large group to chill in.

Morjim saw its fortunes turn after the construction of the bridge between Siolim and Chopdem, connecting this fishing village with the rest of the tourist belt. Tranquil and laid back, the beach which extends right up to the Chapora river in the south is a favourite amongst foreign travellers. The southern tip facing off the Chapora fort on the other side of the river mouth is particularly spectacular. Morjim’s shallow waters make it a favourite for new surfers. A bunch of beachside shacks rim this beach in the north, but do not overwhelm the sense of peace here.

The beach of Mandrem lies between the twin beaches of Morjim and Arambol. Mandrem like Morjim is a nesting site for the endangered Olive Ridley sea turtles, and benefits from the turtle conservation efforts required.

Bang opposite the beachfront restaurant stands our cosy four bedroom villa. The cottage, in addition to all the amenities and a large open kitchen has two rooms  that straight out to the sea. You may be convinced to extend your holiday leaves.

Villas in Candolim for those looking to have  holiday in a style

This village, north of capital city Panjim offers a mature mix of historical monuments, beach sports, dining and shopping.  At one end stands the Aguada Fort, built in 1612 by the Portuguese to protect this colony that played a vital role in securing their global spice trade. Its ramparts wrap around the tip of the Bardez peninsula, encasing a wonderful old lighthouse and Goa’s first five-star hotel. A walking distance from the fort is the Aguada Central Jail which now houses an interactive museum of Goan history.

Popular and picturesque is the bastion of the fort jutting out into the sea at the near private Sinquerim beach. It is the perfect spot from where to admire the northward long stretch of the Candolim beach while waiting for the sun to set.

Our villas in Goa for rent near the beach make all of it accessible while offering you a host of services you can enjoy in private. Parasail, jet ski or play a game of volleyball on the beach and return to the villa for a massage, for example.

Nerul pool villas equals to a  holiday in Candolim on a budget

Step back from Candolim and fall into the quiet embrace of Nerul.  Rent a villa here and you may discover your neighbour is a Bollywood celebrity. Nerul is dignified and restrained in its beauty, like the eponymous river it sits  along. The buzz of North Goa seemingly sucked away by the dense mangroves along the river banks, this village continues to be the discreet getaway for those in love with Goa’s landscape and one of our personal favourite locations to rent out a villa in.

Nerul leads to Reis Magos, a quiet scenic village overlooked by an impressive fort atop a hill. The site overlooking the narrowest stretch of the Mandovi river was an outpost for the Bijapur Sultana before the Portuguese put it to strategic use, building a fort here. The recently restored fort, its ramparts and the church at the foot of it, face a surprisingly quiet beachfront. The beach itself is rocky, but invites a host of birds in the evening and offers a beautiful view of the Panjim riverfront across the Mandovi. The view from the top is even more impressive.

When you rent a villa in Nerul, you can spend idyllic evenings. When the sun finally disappears behind the horizon, a five minute drive will reach you to Goa’s floating Casinos. Our concierge can help you with the booking and arrangements. Setting up base here, in this part of North Goa also gives you easy access to everything that capital city Panjim has to offer.

Luxury villas in Panjim and Old Goa are perfect choice for casino lovers or not an ordinary holiday

Goa’s capital, Panjim or Panaji, and Velha Goa or Old Goa, the former capital of Portuguese Indies, are not to be missed. The rich architectural and historical importance of a cluster of seven churches and convents in Old Goa, has earned it the UNESCO world heritage site status. This fascinating collection of churches with gorgeous altars, and amazing Christian art includes the Basilica of Bom Jesus which houses the tomb and remains of St. Francis Xavier. When you rent a villa in North Goa you can spend a day diving into Goa’s evangelical heritage.

Old Goa, rich as it is, doesn’t encompass everything the area around Panjim has to offer. The capital city itself draws considerable crowds who, having walked up the steps of the Church of the Immaculate Conception, invariably wander off to explore the Fontainas Latin quarters. With its colourful colonial era houses, Azulejo tile nameplates,  and balconies along the narrow streets, Fontainas is heaven for the young instagrammers.

One way to dodge the many street photoshoots is by climbing Panjim City’s many quaint steps that all lead up to Altinho. Here you will find a fine cafe and gallery or two, and get a great view of the city below. Descend again after sunset for a glass of urrak or feni at any of Fontainas’ popular little bars. The town at large has several must try bakeries, and fine dining places.

Busy as it can get, Panjim is still a great repository of grand Portuguese colonial architecture. Its waterfront also provides access to its popular Casinos, which light up as floating Christmas trees on the Mandovi river at night.  When you rent a villa in North Goa, the casinos are also accessible from the Mandovi’s northern bank.

Right across Old Goa, accessible only by ferry, is Divar island. The island’s protective inhabitants have ensured the footprints of tourism are faint, despite the fact that Divar holds more than one interesting attraction. Grande villas with inviting verandas line the empty winding streets of Divar. Further in stunning expanses of green fields make for a lovely contrast to busy Panjim, unless of course you are visiting on the day of the Bonderam Festival. Divar’s own little carnival, in the month of August, is a charming celebration of Goa’s rich culture reflected more exuberantly across the state, in the four day carnival before the commencement of Lent.

Where’s the party tonight? May be at the party villa??

Goa’s reputation as the party capital of India was established here, in the stretch from Candolim to Baga. With its busy beaches, its many many shacks during the tourist season, its famous pubs and restaurants, the trio of Candolim, Calangute and Baga probably serve the chunk of Goa’s tourists. With every possible convenience – from shops, banks, to hospitals and markets – they are perfect for families or large groups of friends. Their tourist friendly shacks whip up some mean seafood dishes, and the long stretch – the longest possibly in north Goa –  offers ample water sports, and beach activities to keep a diverse set of people occupied. When you rent a villa, you can participate in all the excitement without losing each other to the crowds.

Goa hosts the best parties in the country. Led by the country’s best DJs and musicians, Goa’s party goers can dance till the wee hours of the morning.

Book a luxury villa on rent in North Goa, and let the night extend into a more intimate affair. Ask us and we will organise a DJ. If some in the party are likely to retire early – a parent maybe – you could pick a villa that comes with its own soundproof room.

Luxury villas in Assagao as as good as those at Beverly Hills

Away from the beach, there is Assagao – a favourite haunt of the well-heeled traveller with its Indo-Portuguese homes, stylish boutiques and fab cafes. Some of the best villas in North Goa, if you ask us, can be found here. Assagao is now dotted with restaurants and cafés, each outdoing the other in its culinary finesse. It only boils down to what you crave on the day – sustainable, Bengal-inspired, mustard-infused plates, or fresh-from-the-oven chocolate babka. Rent a villa in North Goa, if designer clothes and high-end furnishings are your thing, hop from boutique to boutique as you might from bar to bar at night.

Assagao has a few restaurants and cafes that offer a cosy ambiance. Enjoy a quiet dinner at one of the local establishments, where you can savour Goan or international cuisine.

Renting villas in Anjuna and Vagator is no within the budget of hippies

This stretch of boutiques and cafes will lead you to Anjuna. A favourite of the hippies once, Anjuna continues to pay obeisance to that part of its history, when a generation of avant garde, breakaways in search of an alternate life, took refuge here in the sixties and seventies. Tucked away in cosy corners, our villas offer the perfect base to explore bohemian Anjuna’s story.

The bars at the Chapora jetty, imprinted in one way or another sometimes quite quite literally in Russian fonts, continue to uphold Anjuna’s hippie creds. The early foreigner backpackers, seduced by Goa’s laid back beauty, would sell goods at weekly markets to sustain their long stays. The hilltop flea market today, with its stalls of handcrafted products and home cooked goodies, and the late night music performances, keeps the tradition alive and Anjuna’s free-spirited soul nourished. An evening at the market is a must, when you rent a villa in North Goa. Our aesthetically designed bungalows are walking distance from cuisine from around the world, that you find today in Anjuna.

Luxury villas in Siolim are the next go-to  for harmonious blend of  location, amenities  and price

Home to Goan pop singer Remo Fernandes, Siolim was once a rich agrarian village, one of 12 entrances of the Bardez taluka in North Goa. Bound by two rivers, this village off the coast is marked by its fabulously grand villas, and greenery. The river front provides a soothing alternative to beachfront locales, for a visitor looking for a more serene holiday experience. Siolim today is home to some of the fanciest new restaurants in Goa. It is upmarket, but like a genuine lady of class, rather discreet about its riches. Villas in these parts of North Goa come in both avatars – old Portuguese homes with tall ceilings, and airy verandahs  and brand new constructions, furnished tastefully by some of the country’s best designers.

One only needs to cross the bridge to reach the beaches of Morjim and Mandrem in the North. Siolim however is also best enjoyed, by exploiting its river front for languid walks. When you rent a villa here, you can also participate in the unique celebration of the Festa de São João held annually with a boat parade on June 24.
